So I've done it correctly, but the drive reads the full memory fine 238GB (its a 250GB drive, the remaining was for the FHDB and other partitions installed using WinH and the HDD flash tool) Will I still need to create a FMCB card? it works fine, but only wanted to know whether the apps on it were outdated or not, if outdated then which ones will I need to update and if possible the links to the download pages on ps2-home. Once you reinstall FHDB then you are set to install whatever software you want. This will fix any mismatch in drive geometries between the disk image and your actual hard drive. The main point here is that you use the noobie image only to boot the PS2 once and properly set up your hard drive. After you format the PS2 with uLaunchELF, use uLaunchELF to then run the FMCB installer and install FHDB. If you don’t have a spare MC then format your PS2 using uLaunchELF but don’t exit uLaunchELF.

Then use the installer to format your HDD and install FHDB using the FMCB installer. If you use it, make an FMCB card using the FMCB installer.
